The Spitball Poems

A collection of "walking poems" in the form of instructions to be acted out in Washington, DC's U Street/Black Broadway neighborhood. Written for the March 2017 exhibition SPITBALL at Hamiltonian H-Space in Washington, DC—and inspired by neighbors and co-exhibitors Katherine Tzu-Lan Mann and Kristin Hatleberg. Poems are available on-demand or in a forthcoming chapbook from Future Cartographic.

Walking Poems for U Street

Walking Poems for U Street

A cycle of poems intended to be read and performed while exploring the U Street neighborhood. Originally written for the 2017 exhibition SPITBALL—an evolving installation in collaboration with painter Katherine Tzu-Lan Mann and dancer-choreographer Kristin Hatleberg—the poems remain available on demand by stopping by Future Cartographic's headquarters on 9 1/2 Street NW. A chapbook version featuring the full cycle is due out later this year.
